As we kick things off for our fourth summer, the Bay Area Running Camp is excited to welcome Lauren Fleshman to our speaking roster for both the Youth and Adult sessions this July.
A former California state champion in the 3200 meters and cross country, Fleshman was a member of the most recently inducted class in the Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame. On the Farm, the Santa Clarita Valley native won five NCAA Championships and at least one All-American honor in all 12 consecutive seasons of competition (cross country, indoor, outdoor) between 1999 and 2003. Fleshman is the two time USATF National Champion in her favored event, the 5000m, where she has an outstanding personal best of 14:58.
A veteran of several US teams at the IAAF World Championships and other international competitions, Fleshman is now representing Oiselle as an athlete and partner as she returns to professional competition following the birth of her son in 2013. As a Contributing Editor for Runner's World, an influential blogger at AskLaurenFleshman.com, co-founder of Picky Bars, and BelieveIAm, Fleshman has built rich connections with runners of all ages and abilities as she navigates life as a professional runner, successful entrepreneur, wife (to 3-time Wildflower 70.3 champ Jesse Thomas), and mom.
Don't miss out on Fleshman and our other great presenters (announced throughout the spring). Register for camp today!
