About BARC

 Why camp?

The Bay Area Running Camp began simply as a conversation between two local coaches interested in providing an affordable, fun, accessible, and educational running camp experience in our community.

We are excited to have Woodside Priory School as our location, amongst some of the best running trails in the Bay Area, and a day camp format to accommodate the busy summer schedules of both our middle and high school campers as well as adults who would like to invest some educational energy into their running, but have a difficult time fitting it in between work and family commitments.

It is our hope that each participant leaves camp better equipped to pursue their running at the level they hope to achieve in the coming season or training year, and we look forward to making sure there is plenty of fun along the way.

Who are we?

The Camp Directors combine nearly 30 years of team and camp coaching experience in a variety of sports and at all age and ability levels.  Camp counseling staff will consist of local collegiate and post-collegiate athletes committed to providing a safe and fun camp experience for all participants.

Welcome to the Bay Area Running Camp website! We are already planning ahead for a great week of camp next summer. Our programming will consist of a morning day camp for youth campers aged 12-18, and an adult day camp from 5:30-8:30pm each evening. Coaches can participate in either, with coach specific clinic sessions provided during the youth camp. Check back here for updates and developments in the coming weeks and months.

Tearing up the hills on Wednesday! #hillofdoom
